Michael J. Connerley:

Mike moved to Eureka in 1990 after his brother “found it!”
In 1992 he opened a small auto detail shop on Broadway.
Before long, he met his neighboring business owner, John Antich.
The two discovered their common ground in caring about cars and a friendship was born.
Before long, it became apparent that a partnership would free up time for the two friends to focus on what each did best.
John’s passion was for mechanics and Mike’s natural talent was in business management.
Like an epiphany they realized that if John could focus on repairing cars and leave running the business to Mike, there would be immense potential for growth.

Mike and John solidified the partnership in 1997, creating a rock solid repair shop.
The name Antich Automotive stuck, and continues to operate today.

By 2004 the company had outgrown its Broadway location.
John and Mike began seeking a bigger and better location.
They invested time, energy and money into their new building in Old Town Eureka.
It was furnished with new lifts, a computerized alignment rack and other state of the art equipment, all in the name of offering better service.
While that was many years ago, Antich Automotive remains at the crux of integrity and automotive technology.

Mike is passionate about spending time in the great outdoors, from camping to gold prospecting.
He’s also an avid ocean fisherman with a lust for salmon. His largest catch was 42 pounds!
He finds joy in his lovely daughter’s success as a fashion designer for K. Bell socks in Los Angeles.
Being the second youngest of six children taught Mike from the get-go the importance of honesty. With so many kids before him, Mike’s mother could see through anything less-than the truth.
